Inside AbbVie’s Bioresearch Center, our scientists are studying the true cause of autoimmune diseases and how to stop them from progressing.

Just a few decades ago, doctors could only treat the symptoms of autoimmune diseases – diseases where the immune system goes haywire and attacks the body instead of protecting it. The medicines available didn’t address the true cause of these diseases or stop them from progressing.
