Working Mother magazine recognized AbbVie among its “Working Mother 100 Best Companies” for the fourth consecutive year for outstanding leadership in creating progressive programs, advancement of women, flexibility, child care and paid parental leave. The 100 Best Companies are featured in the October/November issue of Working Mother.
Working Mother magazine honors organizations that effectively support working parents and their families.
“We value the perspectives of working mothers—one element of AbbVie’s diverse workforce—who help us achieve our business priorities,” said Kristen Weirick, vice president, talent acquisition and diversity & inclusion. “This recognition by Working Mother highlights AbbVie’s policies for supporting all parents as they manage the demands of work and family. We thank Working Mother for acknowledging our efforts and commitment.”
Working Mother also put an AbbVie mom in the spotlight. This year’s AbbVie Working Mother of the Year is Xaymara (Mara) Roman, who works as an aggregate safety manager in pharmacovigilance and patient safety.
For 31 years, Working Mother magazine has tracked the progress of companies that lead in creating a supportive workplace for America’s families. In an environment of changing family dynamics, parental benefits are a key consideration for those companies that aim to create a culture that attract the best talent.
